I am the only hero of my verses,
the first and last in every line to dwell:
my poems hope to sing of Universes,
but never reach beyond my lonely cell.”
(Mihály Babits: The lyric poet’s epilogue)

I was born on 4 of January 1965 in Debrecen, a large city in the North-East of Hungary. I started to study drawing and paintings when I was 4-year old under the direction of my masters László Félegyházi, Lajos Bíró and János Kapcsa. I have been member of the Ferenc Medgyessy Fine Arts School of Debrecen for 10 years.

In 1979 I have been admitted to the School of Fine Arts in Budapest first as a student in sculpture, later as decorative painter. My masters there were Ádám Kéri and Zoltán Tölg-Molnár. After finishing the high-school, I worked as children book writer. A selection of my writings from this period has been published in the book entitled “”Bampa háta gömbölyeg” (A snail who lost his house) illustrated with my own drawings.
From 1987 I took part with my visual and picture poetries and installations in several exhibitions and performances with artists organized around the Parisian Hungarian Workshop.
Between 1987 and 1991 I participated in performances and exhibitions organized by the Club of Young Artists.
In 1989 I have participated in the exhibition and conference organized by Magyar Muhely (Hungarian Workshop) in Szombathely.
Between 1988 and 1990 I exhibited several pieces of my work with other artists in exhibitions in Nové Zámky (Slovakia) and Bratislava (Slovakia).
I spent altogether 9 years abroad (in Paris 4 years, in Germany 2 years, in Firenze in Italy 1 year and in Brussels in Belgium 2 years). Currently I leave in Budapest and a nearby village, Pilisszentiván.
